Generations of devotion
forged into every curve.

Our first workshop opened behind Dariba Kalan in 1974, casting murtis for the temples of the old city. The moulds have changed. The measure has not — every idol we make is proportioned to Shilpa Shastra, checked by hand before it is ever polished.

Forty karigars work here now. Most learned the chisel from a father or an uncle who learned it in the same lane, and the ones who finish the faces have been doing only that for twenty years.

The Craft

How brass becomes soul.

A journey from molten metal to divine presence — preserving the ancient lost-wax casting tradition of Old Delhi.

  1. The Mould

    Master artisans sculpt the deity in bee's wax, ensuring every proportion aligns with the sacred Shilpa Shastras.

  2. The Casting

    The wax form is encased in clay and fired. Molten brass fills the hollow — capturing each hair, fold, and filigree.

  3. The Polish

    Over many hours the piece is hand-chiselled and burnished — a patina built through patience, not chemistry.
